About the event
John Parker, CEO at the Arboricultural Association, will talk about the importance of urban trees and woodlands, describing many of the environmental, social and economic benefits they bring to our communities.
He will also explore the relationship between trees and the climate emergency – how it is affecting our trees, and how our trees can help mitigate some of its impacts.
John will discuss species selection and aftercare, and explain the role of professional arboriculturists as well as the importance of community groups, using the Stonehouse Community Arboretum as an example.
Doors open at 7pm and the talk will start at 7.30pm, with an opportunity for questions at the end.
All of these talks are filmed and a copy available to view via our website.
Free entry, and the bar will be open.
